On February 24, 1984, a tragic and violent incident unfolded in Los Angeles involving American spree killer Tyrone Mitchell (born October 17, 1955, and deceased on the day of the attack). Mitchell initiated a devastating assault at 49th Street Elementary School, opening fire on students as they were leaving the premises. His actions resulted in the fatal shooting of two young students and inflicted injuries upon twelve others. Following this horrific spree, Mitchell then took his own life, committing suicide by shooting himself in the head with a double-barreled shotgun.
