Anthony Maria Zaccaria, Italian saint (b. 1502)

Anthony Maria Zaccaria (Italian: Antonio Maria Zaccaria) (1502 – 5 July 1539), also known as Saint Anthony Zaccaria, was an early leader of the Counter Reformation, the founder of religious orders (Barnabites) and a promoter of the devotion to the Passion of Christ, the Eucharist and the renewal of the religious life among the lay people. His feast day is celebrated on 5 July.
