Petar Skansi, Croatian basketball player and coach

Petar Skansi (born 23 November 1943) is a Croatian former professional basketball player and coach. During his playing career, he played for Jugoplastika and Maxmobili Pesaro. He was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1991. He was a member of the senior Yugoslavia national team squad that won the silver medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics.

For his basketball achievements, he was awarded the Franjo Bučar State Award for Sport twice, in 1992 and 2003. He also had a political stint as a deputy minister of sports in Croatia.
