Anna Pavord, Welsh-English journalist and author
Anna Pavord (born 20 September 1940) is an English horticultural writer. She wrote for The Observer for over twenty years and for The independent for over thirty years - from its first to last print edition. Her book The Tulip: The Story of a Flower That Has Made Men Mad (1999) was listed as a The New York Times best seller.
