The Libyan Martyrs’ Day falls on the 16th of September of every year, and it commemorates the Libyans who perished during the Italian rule which ended in 1947, and those who died during the Libyan Civil War –also known as the Libyan Revolution– against Colonel Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
