Antonio Possevino, Italian priest and diplomat (b. 1533)

Antonio Possevino (also known by his Latinized name, Antonius Possevinus), born on July 10, 1533, and passing away on February 26, 1611, was a profoundly influential Jesuit figure during the tumultuous era of the Counter-Reformation.
