Star Wars Day celebrates the acclaimed movie franchise Star Wars on the 4th of May. The day is celebrated by Star Wars aficionados across the world, and is espoused by Lucasfilm –the production company behind the franchise– as the annual commemoration day. The date was selected as a paronomasia on the catchphrase “May the Force be with you” by replacing the word “Force” with “Fourth”.
